Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common skin disease in childhood whose diagnosis requires expertise in dermatology. Recent studies have indicated that host genes-microbial interactions in the gut contribute to human...

Although further replications in other cohorts are needed, our findings suggest that these genes and microbiota features may provide novel biological insights and may be developed into useful biomarkers of AD prediction.

Atopic dermatitis (AD), or atopic eczema, is one of the most common inflammatory skin diseases with up to 10% prevalence in adults, and approximately 15-20% in children in industrialized countries....

Our results revealed potential novel associations between fatty acids and peroxisomal lipid metabolism pathways, as well as with several microRNAs.

One of the rate-limiting steps in analyzing immune responses to vaccines or infections is the isolation and characterization of monoclonal antibodies. Here, we present a hybrid structural and bioinformatic approach...

When combined with next-generation sequencing of immune repertoires, we were able to specifically identify clonal family members, synthesize the monoclonal antibodies, and confirm that they interact with the antigen in a manner equivalent to the corresponding polyclonal antibodies. This structure-based approach for identification of monoclonal...
